Job Description
This position is perfect for a design- and technically-minded leader with comprehensive project experience, particularly in the k12 sector. The role demands a strategic thinker who excels in client engagement, team leadership, and technical rigor. You'll operate with a high degree of autonomy, mentor emerging talent, collaborate with leadership, and contribute to raising design excellence across the practice.
Responsibilities
Lead design, technical direction, and project documentation for complex architectural work, focusing on ground-up Temple projects.Guide and mentor interdisciplinary teams, enhancing skills, collaboration, and project quality across all phases.Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure alignment on project goals, design vision, and deliverable expectations.Oversee project standards, workflows, and quality assurance from concept design through construction administration.Participate in client-facing meetings, presentations, and stakeholder engagements, helping shape and communicate project vision and design intent.Support broader firmwide initiatives related to design excellence, technical standards, and best practices.Essential Skills
Proficiency in RevitExperience in architectural design, construction administration, design development, schematic design, and construction documentation.Experience in creating and managing architectural models in Revit for Temple projects from schematic design to construction administration.Registered architect preferred.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (required).10+ years of professional experience with demonstrated leadership across multiple project phases.Architectural licensure preferred but not required.Familiarity with additional software such as SketchUp, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, or BIM coordination tools is a plus.Experience in k12 design strongly preferred.Excellent verbal, visual, and written communication skills.Ability to mentor others, lead teams, and uphold design and technical standards.Self-directed, collaborative, and comfortable managing complex project demands with professionalism and autonomy.Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday through Friday in the office, with some site visits. The position offers a 9/80 schedule, allowing every other Friday off, and the flexibility to adjust the schedule to match holidays for a four-day weekend. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
