About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Project Manager to lead renovation, repair, and alteration projects for USPS facilities. This role requires strong project management capability, technical architectural expertise, and the ability to coordinate seamlessly with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and USPS facility personnel. The ideal candidate excels at managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all work meets scope, schedule, budget, and compliance requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee multiple USPS renovation, repair, and alteration projects from planning through closeoutSupport the team lead across all project phases, including planning, design development, construction documentation, procurement, and closeoutConduct feasibility assessments, review site conditions, and assist in developing technical specifications and project proposalsCoordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and USPS facility teams to ensure accurate and timely project executionReview drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and contractor proposals for compliance with USPS standards, safety codes, and project requirementsAttend pre‑construction, progress, and closeout meetings; perform on‑site inspections to verify quality and contract complianceManage project schedules, deliverables, and document control systems across all active projectsRespond to RFIs, review submittals, evaluate change orders, and manage all related project documentationPrepare and maintain detailed progress reports, logs, and status updates for internal and client stakeholdersBuild and maintain strong working relationships with USPS facility managers, internal leadership, contractors, and suppliersCoordinate field activities, site access, and communication among all project participantsServe as the primary on‑site point of contact, communicating project updates, risks, and solutionsConduct local travel to job sites for inspections, meetings, and field assessmentsRequired Skills & Qualifications3-5 years of experience in architecture, structural engineering, or mechanical engineeringProven ability to manage architectural projects from concept through completionStrong knowledge of construction documents, building systems, and AutoCADExperience working on government, institutional, or large‑scale commercial projectsExperience with costs, budgeting, RFIs, submittals, and change orders

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Jersey City, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr.
