Architectural Drafter
Job Title: Architectural DrafterJob Description Develop standard product details and produce shop/installation drawings of roof metal panels in commercial, industrial, and architectural applications. Responsibilities + Produce shop drawings as defined in the scope of work provided by customer submitted drawings and specs. + Interpret information from internal order acknowledgment and customer-supplied structural and/or architectural plans. + Draw floor plans, elevations, and details per drafting and product standards. + Coordinate panel analysis with engineering personnel. + Conduct quality checks on peer drawings and bill of materials. + Review and update drawings to customer redline corrections as needed. + Produce bill of material (BOM) list in company format from final approved set of drawings. + Interface with required internal and external project stakeholders. + Develop standard details/manuals/prints for products in 2D and 3D. + Assist sales staff and customer service with current and future projects. + Assist architects and customers with new projects/project-specific questions. + Create product submittals for new projects. + Follow the Group Code of Conduct and Group Compliance Policy along with other applicable company policies. Essential Skills + Proficient in the use of CAD and Revit. + Technical capacity and ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings. + Experience with building envelope, metal panel systems such as ACM, single skin, insulated panel. + Good communication and mathematical skills. + Ability to meet deadlines and problem-solve with minimal supervision. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associates Degree (or higher) or Technical degree. + Previous experience preferred in pre-engineered metal building and/or architectural design. + Experience in drafting and metal fabrication. Work Environment The role may require occasional travel for further training or to enhance customer relations. The physical demands include occasionally sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Deland, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
