Job DescriptionResponsible for translating design concepts into detailed, accurate and actionable 2D drawings and 3D models for projects of limited scope and complexity using computer-aided design (CAD) software under the direct supervision of the assigned Project Architect or senior designer.Responsible for developing space plans based upon concept direction and established Pilot space planning and programmatic standards. This includes the ability to understand and apply understanding of existing structural systems and limitations, as well as consideration for utilities.Provide support to other design team members under high level of direction to develop and/or alter construction documents and perform administrative tasks.Apply established design standards and clearly defined procedures to solve standard, non-complex problems.Perform quality control checks with the aid of documented quality control standards and other design team members.Limited responsibility for coordinating other disciplines drawings and design criteria through communication with various external vendors and consultants.Prepare and document drawing revisions for design/construction changes.Responsible for file management to include archiving, updating and managing file distribution to external teams, vendors, agencies and contracted entities. This includes both originally prepared documents and subsequent revisions to them.Reviews vendor shop drawings for compliance with design intent and Pilot's standards using and applying published Quality Control checklist.Distributes drawings to contractors, vendors, suppliers, building officials, and company team members.Responsible for meeting own weekly and short-term milestones and deadlines. Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills and problem solving skills. Ability to organize and actively progress without need for follow-up is important.Proficient in use of Autodesk AutoCAD Architecture, Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam and all Microsoft office suite of products. Experience with rendering engines such as Rhino and others are beneficial.QualificationsSets or contributes to the business strategy for own team and function.Has no supervisory responsibilities.
