Archery Education Specialist
Overview

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Coordinates and facilitates cultural and education events and presentations. Manages procurement of necessary materials, equipment, and activity resources. Conducts research on culture, history, and traditional lifestyle to support program development and community engagement.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
• High school Diploma required
• Associates degree preferred
• One year experience in a related field

 

COMPETENCIES
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Basic math skills
• Strong understanding of Cherokee cultures
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to teach and mentors others


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand; reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
• Possess or ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating
            o CDL preferred
• Possess or ability to obtain a valid Archery instructor certification within one (1) year of hire and maintain throughout employment.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
• Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for childcare.
