Job Title: AR Specialist
Job Description

The AR Specialist will be responsible for updating and maintaining records of expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, and statements utilizing the company ERP system. This position involves preparing check runs to pay vendors, responding to vendor and customer inquiries, and maintaining accurate records of outstanding payables. The specialist will coordinate with Human Resources on time records and employee paperwork, review and process employee expense reports, and resolve payment discrepancies and disputes.

ResponsibilitiesUpdate and maintain records of expenditures using the company ERP system.Prepare check runs to pay vendors, including data input, reconciliation, printing, copying, and mailing.Respond to all vendor and customer inquiries.Enter daily labor tickets into the labor collection system for payroll and GL purposes.Coordinate with Human Resources on time records and employee-related paperwork.Review and process employee expense reports.Process and prepare invoices to be sent to vendors and customers.Maintain accurate records of outstanding payables.Resolve payment discrepancies and disputes on behalf of the company.Handle confidential or specialized information and files with sensitivity.Prioritize multiple assignments and adapt to changing priorities.Perform other related projects and duties as assigned.Essential SkillsAccounts receivable and invoice processing experience.Experience with ERP systems and collection processes.Basic Excel proficiency.1-2 years of previous experience supporting an accounting department.Understanding of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping principles.Experience with accounting software programs.Proficient in Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma required; BS desired.Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.Knowledge of full-cycle AR, including invoice billing, B2B collections, payment posting, and accounts payable.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Attention to detail with accounting records and cash management principles.Knowledge of payroll policies and procedures.Ability to analyze and solve problems.Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.Strong data entry skills, including 10-key proficiency.Experience with Epicor is nice to have.Work Environment

The work environment is dynamic and requires adaptability to changing priorities. The position involves handling confidential information, working collaboratively with various departments, and utilizing ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel. The role requires a strong commitment to detail and effective communication skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
