We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Collections Specialist to join our team on a short-term contract basis. This role focuses on business-to-business (B2B) collections, ensuring timely payment of outstanding invoices, maintaining positive client relationships, and supporting the overall health of our accounts receivable.
Key Responsibilities:Contact clients via phone, email, and other channels to follow up on outstanding invoices.Monitor aging reports and prioritize collection efforts based on risk and value.Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and disputes.Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance teams to ensure accurate billing and resolve client issues.Maintain detailed records of collection activities and communications.Recommend accounts for escalation or write-off when necessary.Assist in preparing reports on collection status and performance metrics.Support month-end and quarter-end close processes related to receivables.
Qualifications:Proven experience in B2B collections, preferably in a fast-paced or high-volume environment.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks) and Excel.Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Professional demeanor and customer service orientation.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with ERP systems and CRM tools.Knowledge of basic accounting principles.Prior experience in SaaS, manufacturing, or service industries.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $27.00/hr.
