Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our shared services team. This role focuses on improving AR processes, supporting collections, and ensuring accurate and timely billing. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Responsibilities
Communicate with customers to obtain remittance details and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate payment application.Navigate customer portals to address issues related to missing, declined, or pending invoices and credits.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by following up on past due accounts and coordinating with internal teams to resolve outstanding issues.Manage shared AR inboxes, including responding to inquiries, sending statements, resolving complaints, and issuing receipts.Handle billing activities related to field service, equipment, and parts.Support collection efforts in line with established procedures.Assist with progress billing and tracking delivery status of equipment.Contribute to process improvement initiatives and cross-functional collaboration within the AR team.Essential Skills
3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related field.Strong research and problem-solving skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.Experience with ERP systems such as Mapics or Visual.Comfortable making and receiving customer calls and responding promptly to inquiries.High level of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.Qualifications
Bilingual in Spanish. (preferred)Strong team player with a willingness to support colleagues across different business units.Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and assist in various AR functions as needed.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Experience supporting internal audits related to billing, credit, and collections.Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements.Goal-oriented with a focus on reducing outstanding receivables.Work Environment
You will work in a collaborative team of 30, including collections, cash applications, and billing/invoicing. This is an in-office role with a flexible start time and an 8-hour workday. The environment is supportive and offers opportunities for professional growth within a large and expanding headquarters.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
