Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist
Location: East Granby, CT
Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about customer service? A growing company in the East Granby area is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively to resolve discrepancies and support financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Set up new customer accounts for start-ups and emergency services
+ Conduct daily collection calls and follow-ups
+ Process credit card payments and issue credits
+ Prepare, apply, and post daily deposits
+ Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email
+ Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies
+ Review overpayments and manage abandoned property filings
+ Issue refund checks as needed
+ Collaborate with external collection agencies on assigned accounts
+ Provide backup support to other accounting and administrative staff
+ Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred (or equivalent experience)
+ Minimum of 2 years of related experience in accounts receivable or similar role
+ Familiarity with Great Plains and CRM systems preferred, but not required
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
+ Proven ability to follow through and meet deadlines
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Customer service-oriented with a proactive mindset
+ High level of integrity and a strong drive for success
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
