What do Safety, Health & Environmental Technicians do:

Safety, Health & Environmental Apprentices develop the required skills and knowledge in order to be able to:

Help develop, check, and implement safe ways of working, including supporting audits.Assist with investigating accidents and incidents, finding causes, and helping prevent them in the future.Track and report on health and safety performance, and help create initiatives to improve it.Prepare and deliver safety talks and training to raise awareness of key health and safety topics.Take part in quarterly Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) committee meetings.

What you will need to apply:

5 GCSEs level 4 – 9  including English and Maths.Willingness to work towards: Level 3 Safety, Health and Environment Technician EPA and NEBOSH National General CertificateWillingness to work towards TechIOSH membership (A Recognized health & safety qualification showing practical knowledge and competence in workplace safety)A positive attitude towards safe working, excellent IT skills, effective communication skills and the ability to follow procedures with a methodical approach.The ability to solve problems in a timely manner, and to stay calm in difficult situations.Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work as part of a team.To be self-driven and have an enthusiastic approach to work as well as the desire to succeed.
