**Job Title: Apprentice Electrician** **Job Description** Join our team as an Apprentice Electrician working on an exciting commercial building project for the Plymouth/Canton school system. You will be responsible for installing and replacing light fixtures throughout the building, and you will gain valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment. **Responsibilities** + Install and replace light fixtures throughout the building. + Run and bend conduit as required for the project. + Properly install and connect push-button controls, limit switches, pressure switches, float switches, flow switches, and other types of motor control devices. + Assist in installing control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, circuit-breaker panels, and transformers using approved fasteners and supports. + Learn to observe the function of installed equipment or systems to determine hazards and the need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement. + Layout and install electrical work for commercial projects based on drawings, sketches, and specifications. + Assist in carrying out assigned tasks with customers using good oral and written communication skills. + Ensure that work is performed safely and correctly. **Essential Skills** + Valid State of Michigan Apprentice License + 3+ years of accumulated hours, preferably targeting 4th year apprentices + Commercial experience in settings such as schools, hospitals, and retail spaces + Valid Driver's License **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Own tools + Experience in bending conduit and pulling wire + Ability to read blueprints + Non-union Michigan Apprentice card holders **Why Work Here?** Join a great environment with supportive managers where people love to work. The shift is from 3pm to 11pm, requiring respect for students, teachers, and staff present during work hours. Candidates must be willing to travel to job sites daily and be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of WYANDOTTE, MI. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
