Job Description
The Apprentice Electrician will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage electrical systems. This role is perfect for individuals pursuing a career in electrical work, with a focus on systems such as data cabling, security, fire alarms, and building automation.
ResponsibilitiesAssist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage electrical systems.Work with data cabling, security, fire alarms, and building automation systems.Understand wiring schematics and read blueprints.Work in commercial construction environments such as schools, hospitals, or office buildings.Handle EMT conduit ranging from 1/2 inch to 1 inch.Apply electrical theory and work with systems operating at 120 - 480 volts.Engage in troubleshooting and wiring tasks, including bending and running conduit.Pull wire and cable, and work on panel wiring and switchgear.Essential Skills3+ years of experience understanding wiring schematics and reading blueprints.3+ years of experience in commercial construction environments.3+ years of experience working with EMT conduit.Understanding of electrical theory and experience with low voltage systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsApprentice Electrician certification.Why Work Here

Work Environment
Work on the first shift from 7am to 3:30pm, totaling 40 hours a week with limited overtime. Weekend work is generally avoided, ensuring a balanced schedule. Travel is limited to jobs within 60 miles of the office in Grand Rapids or Kalamazoo, MI. Apprentices are expected to drive their own vehicle to projects, with mileage reimbursement provided for trips over 60 miles. Indoor work comprises approximately 90% of tasks, providing a consistent and comfortable working environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
