Job Title: Apprentice
Department: Project / Engineering / Construction
Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech / Any Graduate
Job Purpose:
To assist in managing, organizing, and maintaining all project-related documents in both physical and electronic formats, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and accessibility in compliance with company and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update document control registers, logs, and filing systems (both hard and soft copies).Receive, check, and distribute documents to relevant departments and project team members.Ensure proper document version control, numbering, and retrieval systems.Assist in the preparation, scanning, and uploading of documents to project databases or document management systems (DMS).Support project engineers and managers in tracking drawing revisions, correspondence, and technical submittals.Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and consistency of all controlled documents.Follow up with internal departments and vendors for timely submission of required documentation.Assist in preparing document transmittals and reports as per client or project requirements.Skills & Competencies:
Good communication and coordination skills.Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and file management.Familiarity with document control systems (optional – training will be provided).Ability to work in a team and handle multiple tasks.Organized and methodical approach to work.Key Learning Opportunities (for Freshers):
Exposure to document control processes in engineering and construction projects.Hands-on experience in document management software and client coordination.Understanding project documentation flow and compliance requirements.Development of administrative, coordination, and communication skills.
