Primary Function
Review and quality control residential real estate appraisals and underwrite mortgage lending collateral.
Principal Duties
Perform Reviews of Loan Origination appraisals. Validate valuation techniques, supporting data and conclusions. Underwrite collateral in loan origination process. Communicate review results in a timely and professional manner, production consistent with team levels and goals.Vendor Management - Communicate asset-level quality control issues to Valuations Team Lead and/or Manager.Provide support to the Team Lead and Manager as necessary to assist in training/mentoring/reporting/etc. as needed.Cross-functional Support - Assist other teams in the Underwriting group as needed. This may include sharing of market data or industry information and communicating issues or solutions. This also includes reputation management through professional behavior and courteous communications with other enterprise associates.Any other job responsibilities requested by management.Other duties as directed Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or work experience equivalency in Real Estate, Management, Business, or Finance.6 years in valuation, including minimum 2 years field experience appraising residential properties.2 years’ experience in reviewing appraisals. National / Institution review experience preferred.Certifications or special training needed: Actively Licensed or Certified Real Estate Appraiser.Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements
