Applications Engineer

Description

This person will be responsible for working with sales and FluidTech customers on new products. There will be minimal design with this role as most of it will be working with sales and the customer to manage the project, do component selection, troubleshoot issues and visit customers with new product launches.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Education:

4 year engineering degree is ideal but not a must have

Years of Experience:

5+ years design

5+ years SolidWorks experience

3+ years of working with customers & sales

3+ years of project management experience

5+ years hydraulic design experience (nice to have)

Software:

SolidWorks & AutoCAD

MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Soft Skills:

Strong communication skills including verbal, e-mail and on the phone

Must be well organized, detail oriented and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously. This person will complete anywhere from 15-20 projects a month. Most projects are design from scratch.

Wish List:

Degree in Fluid Power

Technical knowledge with Fluid Power- Hydraulics

Certification in Fluid Power discipline from International Fluid Power Society.

Minimum one year of Fluid Power Industry experience

Hydraulics is a plus, they will do a lot of training on the job

Any Machining or CNC experience is a plus

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LENEXA, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $52.88/hr.
