Applications Developer II - ServiceNow
**About the Role** The **Application Developer, ServiceNow Platform** is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and supporting scalable ServiceNow solutions that meet complex business and operational requirements. Working closely with product owners, business analysts, and architects, this role delivers high-quality solutions across all **Integrated Risk Management (IRM) modules**(Policy & Compliance Management, Issue Management, Risk Management, Third Party Risk Management, Audit Management) **, Now Assist, and core platform capabilities**, following ServiceNow development standards and best practices. We are seeking a **ServiceNow Developer with 6+ years** of hands-on experience to build, enhance, and maintain the platform, leveraging **Now Assist and generative AI** capabilities to automate workflows, improve agent efficiency, and enable intelligent self-service. The role contributes to platform maturity through disciplined release management, reusable development patterns, and secure, API-driven integrations, while ensuring the ServiceNow platform remains stable, performant, compliant, and well-integrated within Uber’s broader technical ecosystem. \-\-\- What the Candidate Will Do ---- 01. **Manage and maintain ServiceNow IRM modules:** Issue Management, Policy and Compliance Management, TPRM, Audit Management. 02. **Oversee IRM module operations**, ensuring efficient entity creation and managing the risk assessment, Creating and Managing advanced Indicators in compliance management, Risk identification workflow, Issue remediation flow, Vendor risk assessment. 03. **Platform Development:** Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow applications and modules, including writing complex Business Rules, Client Scripts, and UI Actions to meet business needs 04. **Integrations:** Build and maintain seamless integrations between ServiceNow and external systems (e.g., JIRA, Workday, Monitoring tools) using REST/SOAP web services and Flow Designer 05. **Now Assist & Automation:** Integrate and configure _Now Assist_ features — including AI-assisted workflows, chat summarization, and virtual agent enhancements. 06. **Solution Design:** Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to analyze requirements, creating technical design documents and workflows that drive operational efficiency 07. **Support & Troubleshooting:** Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and training to end users, ensuring a user-friendly experience. Respond promptly to platform related issues and requests. 08. **Continuous Improvement:** Suggest and implement best practices for ServiceNow. Proactively identify areas for improvement and apply solutions to increase efficiency and productivity. 09. **Documentation:** Maintain clear, structured documentation of configurations, workflows, and processes to ensure consistent knowledge sharing and compliance. 10. **Communication:** Clear communicator with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with the Business Analyst. \-\-\-\- Basic Qualifications ---- 1. **6+ years of experience** as a ServiceNow Developer/Engineer working on enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations. 2. Proven extensive hands-on relevant experience of 4+ years in ServiceNow IRM (Integrated Risk Management) including Policy & Compliance Management, Issue Management, Risk Management, Third Party Risk Management and Audit Management. 3. Strong expertise in **JavaScript, Glide API, HTML, CSS, AJAX**, and ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, and Script Includes) 4. **Hands-on experience with Now Assist** technologies — generative AI workflows and skill kits on the Now Platform. 5. Proven experience designing and implementing complex integrations using **REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and Flow Designer** 6. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator ( **CSA**) and Certified Application Developer ( **CAD**) are required 7. Excellent **analytical and problem-solving skills**, with a focus on finding pragmatic and effective solutions to complex technical challenges. 8. **Strong** **verbal and written communication** skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. \-\-\-\- Preferred Qualifications ---- 1. Experience supporting and governing **citizen development** on the ServiceNow platform, including establishing guardrails, standards, and reusable components to enable **low-code/no-code** development safely 2. Proven experience designing and implementing complex integrations using **REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and Flow Designer** 3. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator ( **CSA**) and Certified Application Developer ( **CAD**) 4.
