The department is comprised of the Office of the Secretary, the Arkansas Geographic Information Systems Office, the Division of Building Authority, the Division of Information Systems, the Employee Benefits Division, the Office of Personnel Management, and the Office of State Procurement. This position will Work directly with customers to understand application requests, clarify requirements, and develop estimates for programming changes or enhancements. Design, develop, and support web applications across both front-end and back-end components. Monitor multiple application processes and troubleshoot issues in development and production environments. Develop and maintain integrations using APIs and SQL-based data access. Collaborate with peers to migrate and modernize applications to supported platforms and versions (e.g., .NET Framework, Windows Server, SQL Server). Participate in a team-based support model to manage assignments, balance workloads, and progressively learn supported applications and business processes. Working as part of a development team or individually, the Applications Developer I collaborates with clients, analysts, and project managers in an attempt to translate business requirements into functional applications. The role requires proficiency in programming languages, knowledge of software development methodologies, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize performance in a fast-paced environment. Primary Responsibilities Analyze user needs and business requirements to design software solutions.
