**Position Overview**

The Application Development Analyst is responsible for the delivery and support of working software by collaborating with agile scrum teams, delivering software using SDLC and Agile best practices, industry standards, and Cigna guidelines to meet the needs of our businesses and to ensure quality, effectiveness, and scalability for growth. The Application Development Analyst will have a “DevOps Mindset”, characterized with an automation-first and continuous improvement orientation. The Application Development Analyst will leverage technologies like but not limited to React, Angular, Typescript, JavaScript ES6+, semantic HTML, Python, SQL and RESTful APIs.
**Required Experience & Education**
+ 1 - 3 years of relevant project experience and production support in developing web applications.
+ Experience in building applications using React/Redux, webpack.
+ Experience in Agile and working knowledge on DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Artifactory).
+ Strong understanding of database concepts.
+ 2+ years of experience with any database development – Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, PostgreSQL or equivalent is required.
+ Experience in consuming RESTful APIs and integrating front-end with back-end services.
+ Exposure in UI/UX design principles and software design patterns.
+ Browser testing and debugging.
+ Experienced in scripting languages like Python.
+ Exposure to document-centric data architecture (XML DB/NoSQL/JSON).
+ DevOps, Basic Cloud Experience (AWS).
+ Understanding of AI/ML concepts and their application in user interfaces.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
**Roles & Responsibilities**
+ Must work well with other members as part of a distributed agile (SAFe) team of developers, analysts, QA, and more.
+ Work with technical leadership to understand requirements.
+ Design to the requirements and document the designs.
+ Demonstrated skill in using coding standards, reusable code and being an active participant in code reviews and writing Unit Test cases.
+ Implementing dev-ops pipelines to deploy code artifacts on to the designated platform/servers.
+ Ensure high-quality graphic standards and brand consistency.
+ Stay up to date with emerging front-end technologies and industry trends.
+ Participate in sprint planning sessions, refinement/story-grooming sessions, daily scrums, demos and retrospectives.
+ Quality-focused with eye for detail.
**Desired Skills**
+ Knowledge of TypeScript.
+ Knowledge of Teradata SQL, Hive SQL, Spark SQL, Py-Spark and Shell scripting.
+ Knowledge of testing libraries/framework.
+ Experience in Jira and Confluence.
+ Experience with BDD and TDD development methodologies.
+ Health care domain knowledge is a plus.
