The Application Architect (Constellation Capacity Management System - CCMS) will work collaboratively with business leaders, project managers, product owners, vendor architects and subject matter experts to lead the technical definition of the Telesat LEO CCMS. They will help plan the execution in relation to other software initiatives, and provide architectural enablement to ensure the business needs are met in a sustainable and enterprise-optimized manner.Main ResponsibilitiesLead the design of solutions and creation of architecture deliverablesCollaborate effectively with stakeholders and project team to ensure successful implementation of the solutionProvide subject matter and best practice expertise on designing cloud-hosted applications and APIs. Education & Experience Required5+ years' experience in a similar roleExperience in modern mobile and web application design patternsExperience leading the development of SaaS applicationsExperience working in Cloud / XaaS-intensive environments and a sound understanding of Cloud deployment and integration patternsExperience working in cross-functional technical teamsExperience working in cloud custom configuration/development projectsStrong verbal and written communication skills in dealing with clients, internal and external stakeholders, senior management and staffAbility to effectively communicate to technical and non-technical individualsExperience with small, high-performing teams A team player, collaborative and independently driven   Must demonstrate a flexible, open-minded attitude and have strong interpersonal skills  Experience effectively leading meetings and facilitating groups to reach consensusBilinguality in English and French is an assetDecision Making & SupervisionIn this role, the incumbent will have significant influence on the architecture of the applications and infrastructure for the LEO program. They will need to make recommendations and decisions based on their experience.This role has no direct reports, but will work and interact with multi-disciplinary engineering, contracts, legal, and commercial teams.Working ConditionsWorking conditions are generally comfortable typical of an office environment. The successful candidate must be able to work in Canada and obtain clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods program (CGP).
