Job Title: Assistant Project Manager - APM. This is an on-site position.
Job Summary: We are looking for a passionate, detail-oriented, and skilled Assistant Project Manager to join our team. This team member must be self-motivated, courteous, a team player, dependable, eager to learn, accurate and thorough. The Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and budgeting activities and financial reports concerning the construction or maintenance of projects. The Project Manager participates in the conceptual development of a project and oversees its organization, scheduling, and implementation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with Superintendents, Foremen, Journeymen, Project Managers and Department Managers to plan, organize and direct activities concerned with projects.Performs administrative tasks as required, including preparing estimates and invoices and keeping track of the project's progress.Write Purchase Orders on behalf of Project Manager Create and maintain project job folders Continuously develop relationships to identify and cultivate opportunitiesSubmit approved documents to General Contractor and track progressRequest and maintain necessary Certificate of Insurance (COIs)Verify schedules with Project Managers and General ContractorsMaintain start-up log with Project Manager to inform Service teamPlans and schedules resources to meet project demandsProvides regular updates of project statuses to Project Managers and Upper ManagementTravels to jobsites on a regular basis to oversee projectsRepresent company in project meetings and attend strategy meetingsCommunicate with customer/contractor during the projectRun reports on projects, tracking cost and billingParticipate in department meetings as requestedAttend job walks, team meetings, and site visitsPerform additional assignments as requested and maintain a teamwork attitudeQualifications:
