Job Description Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Production Support Engineer to join our IGA operation team. This individual will support and maintain our Spring Boot–based microservices and RESTful APIs, ensuring the reliability, performance, and stability of applications that enable enterprise-wide access services. The ideal candidate has strong Java/Spring expertise, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and excels at solving complex issues in distributed systems. The intent is to convert these new hires to FTE upon positive performance, with positions already budgeted and approved as part of this effort to expand the team long-term. Key Responsibilities Include: - Provide production support for Spring Boot microservices and RESTful APIs within the My Access platform. - Monitor, triage, and resolve incident tickets related to microservices, API performance, availability, and platform functionality. - Perform end-to-end troubleshooting, including: o Service-to-service communication issues o API gateway routing and failures o Authentication & authorization flows (OAuth2, OIDC) o Container/Kubernetes-level failures - Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to improve long-term platform stability. - Participate in and validate production deployments, hotfixes, and maintenance activities. - Collaborate with engineering teams to address code, performance, or architectural issues. - Ensure adherence to SLAs and operational best practices for uptime, monitoring, and reliability. - Support automation and continuous improvement efforts that enhance system resiliency and platform capabilities. Skills and Requirements • 6+ months of working experience with Spring Boot, Java, and microservices architecture. • Knowledge of RESTful APIs, including design principles, debugging, monitoring, and integrations. • Strong communication • Flexibility to work evenings/weekends for production issues and regular maintenance (deployments, upgrades, etc.), on an as-needed basis • Prior production support experience for enterprise • Experience with Spring Boot, Java, and microservices architecture • Bilingual (ideally in Japanese) • OAuth2/OIDC authentication flows • CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.) • Containers and Kubernetes concepts (pods, services, scaling, restarts). • Active Directory, LDAP, Azure and API knowledge
