In this role, you will enable ABB Robotics Tax function to manage (direct and indirect) tax matters optimally in Asia Pacific (APAC).
Reporting to Robotics Global Head of Tax, this role is based in China (Shanghai preferred).
As a Robotics APAC Tax Manager, you will:
Drive the building of the Robotics Tax Management in the APAC RegionManage Regional Tax Specialists reporting to youEnsure tax compliance for the Robotics footprint in the APAC RegionImplement global tax initiatives, policy, procedures and processesBalance resources to manage the tax management and compliance in APACActively collaborate with other Regional Tax Managers to elaborate common practices and find optimal global resource allocationOversee the legal structure and pursue opportunities for simplification and optimizationDrive ETR improvements and tax savingsIn addition, it is expected from you for several Countries in the APAC Region to act like a Country Tax Responsible:
Oversee compliance with tax laws and regulationsCollaborate with Outsourced Service Providers and manage the relationships from a cost and delivery perspectiveSupport Robotics Tax Process Operations in compliance activitiesApprove tax payments and monitor refundsReview and approve Tax returnsForecast or review tax payment calculationsAnalyze potential tax implications for transactions and business projectsProvide tax advice to business and other functionsPursue country tax planning opportunities and implement if relevantMaintain effective relationships with external advisors and tax authoritiesProactively identify and manage tax risks and quantify uncertain tax positionManage internal controls for TaxEnsure country transfer pricing documentation is in place and country specific compliance requirements are fulfilledManage tax audits and disputesBuild relationships and interact with key country/regional stakeholdersQualifications
