About The Client:
My client is a privately owned real estate company with over 50 years of experience in acquiring, redeveloping, leasing, and managing commercial and residential properties. Specializing in heritage restoration and renovation, it provides in-house leasing, maintenance, architectural, and tenant improvement services. Known for fostering long-term tenant relationships, some tenants have been with the company for over three decades.
About The Role:
We are looking for an AP Clerk to manage the day-to-day accounts payable operations, including verifying invoice rates, coding approved invoices to appropriate accounts, and accurately entering them into the Spectra accounting system. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and takes ownership of their work, with strong relationship-building skills.
Responsibilities:Handle full-cycle accounts payable: process payments, verify and reconcile invoices, and obtain necessary approvals.Enter invoices promptly and accurately into the system.Resolve invoice discrepancies and track missing invoices with vendors.Print, secure signatures, and mail cheques to suppliers.Reconcile vendor balances and review outstanding balances over 90 days.Additional tasks may include:Government filings (e.g., GST, PST).Bank account reconciliations.Preparing related party invoices and payments.Maintaining organized financial records.Supporting year-end audits with working papers and analyses.Assisting with CAM budgets and reconciliations.Perform other assigned duties as needed. Requirements:2+ year of experience in accounts payable (preferred).Experience in high-volume environments.Accounting Diploma or equivalent/similar level of education Strong attention to detail and ability to follow up proactively.Analytical skills to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Self-motivated, takes the initiative, and seeks guidance when needed.Compensation:Salary: $50,000–$58,000, based on experience.Competitive Vacation AllowanceExtended healthcare benefits.Collaborative team environment with growth and learning opportunities.
