AP/AR Specialist
Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist Location: Windsor, CT Compensation: $25–$31 per hour (based on experience) Job Description This dynamic role places you at the center of our financial and administrative operations. As an integral member of our team, you will support the smooth, accurate, and efficient flow of information across departments. Your work will directly contribute to the financial health, organization, and day‑to‑day success of our office within a respected network of manufacturing companies. Responsibilities + Invoicing management: Create, distribute, and track invoices while resolving billing discrepancies promptly. + Accounts payable processing: Process vendor invoices and reconcile AP statements with accuracy. + Data entry accuracy: Perform timely, precise data entry to support financial and operational workflows. + Document and records maintenance: Organize, update, and manage both physical and electronic files for easy retrieval. + Purchase order and materials documentation: Generate and manage purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of materials in accordance with established procedures. + ERP product setup support: Assist in creating and maintaining product records within the ERP system. + Internal audit assistance: Support internal audits under the guidance of the Finance Department. + Inventory and GL reconciliation: Collaborate with Finance to reconcile inventory and receiving accounts monthly. + Policy and ethics compliance: Uphold all company policies, procedures, and business ethics standards. Essential Skills + 3+ years of AP/AR experience with strong reconciliation and bookkeeping capabilities. + Proficiency in Dynamics 365 and comfort navigating ERP environments if preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Strong communication abilities for effective interaction with colleagues, clients, and vendors. + Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all documentation and financial entries. + Multitasking and prioritization skills to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. + Organizational and time‑management strengths to maintain efficient workflow. + Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry tools. Work Environment Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windsor, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $31.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
