Lateral Mid-Senior Level Associate
Practice Area: Antitrust Law, Hart-Scott-Rodino Act (HSR), Sherman Act,
Location: Los Angeles, CA (AmLaw 20 firm).
Schedule: 360 hybrid, 2,000+ billable expectation
Salary: Estimated at $250,000–$375,000 (lockstep).
Bonus: Can range from $20,000 to $50,000+, depending individual and firm performance.

The Amlaw 20 firm is seeking to expand its West Coast footprint by adding accomplished antitrust associates with fair competition law background as well as pre-merger review expertise
Join a dynamic antitrust team advising clients on DOJ and FTC investigations, merger filings (Hart-Scott-Rodino, pre-merger notifications), and complex civil litigation. You’ll manage client relationships, draft regulatory filings, coordinate internal investigations, and contribute to deal strategy. The role offers upward mobility and visibility to firm leadership, with opportunity to grow into a senior role or partnership track.
Skills & Qualifications:Required:
Experience with HSR filings, FTC/DOJ engagement, and pre-merger clearance. JD from an A.B.A accredited law school, with admission to the California State Bar Three (3) to seven (7) years of experience as a licensed attorney, with at least half of that time focused on fair trade, competition, pre-merger review and antitrust compliance. Preferred: Experience within a top-tier law firm or highly reputable boutique practice. Background in civil antitrust litigation or policy work. Demonstrated writing and analytical skills in regulatory contexts. Ability to work independently as required and collaborate when possible.
