Ansible Developer
Job Description Key Responsibilities • Develop, test, and maintain automation scripts and Ansible playbooks for automating tasks related to Disaster Recovery testing of critical applications both on-prem and cloud-based. • Design and implement automation workflows using Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), including Event-Driven Ansible (EDA) for real-time, alert-based automation. • Automate repetitive tasks and workflows to increase operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention. • Build and support Event-Driven Ansible playbooks to respond to monitoring events, alerts, and operational triggers in support of eNOC automation use cases. • Integrate automation solutions with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools and other enterprise platforms. • Troubleshoot and optimize automation scripts for performance and reliability. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and implement best practices. • Ensure security and compliance in automated processes. • Document automation processes and provide training to internal teams. ________________________________________ Required Skills & Qualifications • Proven experience with Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform (AAP); Specifically, 5+ years of hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management and orchestration. • At least 2 years Ansible Tower/UI/AAP/API experience (e.g., access, templates, projects, etc.) • Strong knowledge of creating and managing playbooks, roles, and inventories; Minimum of 3-5 years of Ansible playbook development on Unix/ Linux; 1-2 years of Ansible playbook development on Windows. • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell). • Solid understanding of server administration (Linux/Unix and Windows); Minimum of 2-3 years Unix System Administration; 1-2 years Windows System Administration experience. • Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VLANs). • Experience with database administration (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar). • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.); At least 1-2 years of experience using Git. • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. • Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Skills and Requirements Preferred Qualifications • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). • 1+ years Grafana/ Prometheus experience • 1+ years VMware/ESX and Ivanti HEAT experience • Familiarity with security hardening and compliance frameworks. • Certifications in Red Hat Ansible Automation or related technologies. Education • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
