Annual Giving Officer Boston, MA (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Boston+MA+USA+02116) • Development Job Type Full-time Description FLSA Status:Exempt Salary Range: Low $73,556 per year High $80,891 per year Schedule & Work Arrangement: + Monday–Friday, any 8-hour shift between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM + Occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays to support special events or projects + Hybrid: Required to be on-site at least 3 days per week; up to 2 days remote Job Summary:St. Francis House seeks an Annual Giving Officer to be a part of our development team. This Annual Giving Officer will be responsible for executing strategy for the Agency's annual fundraising efforts and growing fundraising revenue year-over-year. This position will carry a portfolio of 200 individuals including prospects and will partner with the Director of Annual Giving in engaging and soliciting donors, including the Founders Society (donors at the $1,000+ annual giving level) and St. Francis House Sustainers (monthly giving society). Essential duties/ responsibilities: Fundraising Operations + Partners with the Director of Annual Giving in developing and executing an Annual Giving strategy. + Builds the Annual Giving pipeline, with a particular focus on annual gifts $250 - $10,000. + Grows the pipeline of prospects through identification, qualification, and robust moves management to generate donor relationships and ladder them up into higher levels of giving. Works closely with the Director of Annual Giving to ensure that projected goals are met. + Supports calendar-year-end and fiscal-year-end fundraising efforts through phone, email, and mail outreach to unassigned donors. + Maximizes support from individual donors for St. Francis House to achieve annual goals. + Conducts 8-10 donor meetings monthly, traveling regionally as necessary. + Attends events and engages donors as a member of the frontline fundraising team. + Achieves and maintains the highest standards of relationship management and reporting of donor interactions. + Identifies, qualifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards a personal portfolio of 200 individual donor prospects who are capable of making high 4- and 5-figure gifts. Works with Director of Annual Giving to adjust portfolio mix on a quarterly basis to optimize agency revenue. + Adheres to agency code of conduct. + Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Required Skills & Abilities: + Experience securing 4-figure gifts; 5-figure gifts a plus. + An understanding of the Greater Boston philanthropic community. + Must have a driver’s license in good standing and access to a vehicle. + Lived experience of homelessness and/or recovery a plus. + Experience with computers, including the use of email programs, web-based tools, Microsoft Office applications, and proficiency with donor management software (CRM databases, Raiser’s Edge) a plus. + Non-profit experience a plus. Education & Experiences: + Knowledge & skills typically acquired through a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in annual giving, sales, or relationship management with demonstrated success in frontline solicitation required; preferably in an organization with a human services mission. + Equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Requirements: + Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. + Constantly operate computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, computer printer. + Occasional ability to lift and carry at 10-15 pounds.
