Get to Know Your Team: 

Physicians Surgical Hospitals includes two surgical centers - Panhandle Surgical Hospital and Quail Creek Surgical Hospital, and one physical therapy center - Quail Creek Physical Therapy - and a state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging center, Advanced Imaging Center of Amarillo.
Responsibilities

Supports anesthesia providers in preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment and supplies for procedures. Prepares and sets up anesthesia machines, monitors, IVs, airway equipment, and carts before procedures.Cleans, disinfects, and restocks anesthesia carts and work areas.Assists anesthesia providers with induction and emergence phases.Transports equipment and supplies between locations as needed.Monitors inventory of anesthesia supplies and requests restocking.Performs daily machine checks and logs maintenance tasks.Responds promptly to operating room requests.Disposes of used equipment and waste per infection control standards.Assists with patient transport and positioning as directed.Adheres to safety protocols and sterile technique.
Qualifications

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements

Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T. or Cer.A.T.T.).

Completion of the Anesthesia Technician training program.

One year of experience in a healthcare or surgical setting.
