Analytics Manager Marketplace

As the Analytics Manager, Marketplace, you will be a key driver of data-informed decision-making across Staples’ high-growth Marketplace initiatives. In this role, you’ll tackle complex business challenges and deliver strategic insights to shape our Marketplace performance and growth. You’ll lead analytical projects, from pricing strategy to inventory optimization and customer behavior analysis, and collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations teams. Your work will directly influence cross-functional priorities and executive decisions, helping us deliver the best value, selection, and experience for our customers.

What you will be doing:Lead end-to-end execution of analytical projects supporting Marketplace growth, including pricing, inventory, and customer analysis.Build scalable dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI, Snowflake, and SQL for performance tracking and self-service insights.Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches and actionable recommendations.Collaborate with key stakeholders to define KPIs, support experimentation, and influence the roadmap.Evaluate and apply AI/ML tools to automate workflows and enhance insights.Ensure data integrity and standardization for accurate and consistent reporting.Communicate findings and recommendations to senior leaders through compelling visual storytelling and data narratives.What You Bring to the Table:Strong communication and storytelling skills—you influence decisions through data.Analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and a continuous improvement mindset.Intellectual curiosity and the ability to simplify complex datasets into clear, actionable business stories.Stakeholder management and collaboration across matrixed environments.Self-starter attitude with high ownership and accountability in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.What’s needed: Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or equivalent experience.7+ years of experience in analytical roles within a complex, data-driven organization.Advanced proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).Experience developing data models and building executive-level dashboards.Proven track record of delivering measurable business impact through data insights.Strong understanding of Marketplace or eCommerce KPIs and operations.

What’s needed: Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Economics, Applied Statistics).Experience with Snowflake and Python.Experience in e-commerce or marketplace analytics.Familiarity with AI-driven analytics platforms and agentic workflows.

The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The specific base pay may be influenced by a variety of factors to include the candidate's experience, skill set, education, geography, business considerations, and internal equity.  In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for bonuses, or other forms of variable compensation.
