Analytical Chemist

Job Summary

The Chemist will perform GMP compliant analytical testing on raw materials and finished pharmaceutical products using approved methods, including HPLC, GC, and compendial techniques. The role supports method and cleaning validation activities, maintains accurate laboratory documentation, assists with instrument operation and troubleshooting, and contributes to efficient QC workflows, timely batch release, and laboratory investigations.

Job Description

Perform routine GMP testing of finished pharmaceutical products and raw materials using approved analytical methods and established specifications.Conduct HPLC and GC analyses; prepare all required reagents, standards, and sample solutions.Interpret and apply USP, EP, and JP monographs and compendial methodology in routine QC testing.Operate laboratory analytical instruments and assist with basic troubleshooting and calibration to maintain equipment readiness.Maintain accurate, compliant laboratory records and ensure all documentation meets data integrity expectations.Support daily QC testing schedules, contributing to timely batch release and efficient workflow management.Review or update SOPs, laboratory protocols, reports, and technical documentation required for QC operations.Train QC personnel and provide guidance as a subject matter expert in general and advanced laboratory practices.Utilize root‑cause analysis tools to investigate laboratory issues; independently conduct and document QC laboratory investigations as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shawnee Mission, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
