Job Description
Join our dynamic laboratory team as an Associate Analytical Chemist. In this role, you will begin with essential lab work such as weighing, setting, pipetting, diluting, and filtering samples. You will then move on to performing Vitamin K or beta carotene assays, utilizing HPLC instrumentation and software like Chromeleon and NIMs. Advanced training in Mass Spectrometry will also be provided.
Responsibilities
Conduct lab work including weighing, setting, pipetting, diluting, and filtering samples.Perform Vitamin K or beta carotene assays using HPLC instrumentation.Operate Chromeleon and NIMs software for data analysis.Participate in advanced training on Mass Spectrometry.Ensure tests are completed according to client timeframes in a fast-paced environment.Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related life science discipline.Experience in biology, aseptic technique, chemistry, and biochemistry.Proficiency in using HPLC and wet chemistry techniques.Familiarity with laboratory settings and mass spectrometry.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in the food service industry or bartending is advantageous.High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Self-motivated, able to work independently, and a team player.Strong work ethic and coachable attitude.Work Environment
Work within a state-of-the-art lab facility in Madison, WI, specializing in food chemistry testing. The laboratory environment is fast-paced, resembling production work, with a focus on delivering results within client deadlines. The facility features advanced technologies, including UPLC, HPLC, GC, and LCMS.
