Feel free to enrich both your personal and work life and hop on board! **Why you'll love this job** + This role is part of the Next-Gen Operations Platform and Business team within the Integrated Operations Center division. + The Next-Gen Operations initiative is a multi-year transformation program focused on modernizing the Flight Operations System, decommissioning legacy platforms, and enabling future-ready capabilities across Crew and Operations. The program includes multiple concurrent workstreams designed to improve operational efficiency, agility, and resilience. + As an Analyst, Business Solutions for the Next‑Gen Operations initiative, you will shape operational technology requirements and support cross‑team solution delivery. You’ll help ensure reliable systems and improved business processes through strong documentation, collaborative problem‑solving, and timely issue resolution. **What you'll do** + Works with operational business units to define requirements as it relates to technology systems and operational projects which add value to Operations + Assists the appropriate Product Manager in planning activities, identifying the functional/technical scope of solution, ensuring solution integration across all functional/process areas and coordinating communication and training planning for system implementation. + Facilitates root cause analysis for solution defects that impact application reliability and drive issues towards prompt resolution. + Maintains documentation as appropriate. + Develops project roadmap, release plan, resource allocation, funding request, communication plan, risks and issues management plan, test plan, and defect management plan. **All you'll need for success** **Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience** + ​Bachelor's degree with or equivalent experience + 3 years of relevant work experience **Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience** + 5 years of operations experience + 5 years of experience in Agile methods and mindset as an approach to software development + 5 years of progressive broad-based information systems and business experience + 5 years of experience managing and delivering mission-critical, high-availability large and small IT projects using Agile or Waterfall development methodologies. **Skills, Licenses & Certifications** + Knowledge of American Airlines’ procedures with a background in Operations + Knowledge of American Airlines’ operational systems + Possess an understanding of interactions with IT solutions, advanced Agile knowledge – served as a member of an operational product team + Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership both written and verbally + Strong analysis capabilities with an ability to manage competing priorities & problem solving. + Skills in leadership; team-focused with high energy and a positive attitude + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) **What you'll get** Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: + Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
