Analyst II, Customer & Portfolio Analytics
Position Profile:
Perform in-depth business analyses reviewing and supporting the results of our various pricing strategies. Assist marketing in assessing competitiveness of pricing by providing information on win/loss statistics and performance against established guidelines. Track trends in transactional data sets in contract and non-contract to forecast future price movement and recommend, then track, pricing changes. Act as key resource for sales leaders to manage dashboard reporting to help drive sales management decision making.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides analysis on realization of guideline pricing and escalation protocol and propose adjustments based on analysis and feedback. Consistently analyze results of various areas of the company to identify trends for risk or opportunity, focusing on correlation between Pricing and Results Lead Pricing Data Governance projects to provide systematic linkage between Oracle and PowerBI analytic tools to ensure availability of data for analysis and self-reporting for other groups Communicates with pricing stakeholders in marketing and sales to ensure there is consistent understanding. Identifies trends from data and communicate them to marketing, sales and pricing team on regular basis and for applicable deals. Tracks, reports on and analyzes pricing statistics (eg, win/loss database), and pricing by competition. Recommend and track pricing actions to measure effectiveness Manage large pricing data sets to ensure proper baselines and trendlines are set Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Certifications):
Four year college degree (major in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics); MBA desirable CPA / CFA a plus Requires minimum of 7-10 years working experience in Finance related areas. Experience in working with financial, statistical or database system applications, such as SAS, SPSS, SQL, Oracle a plus Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint Pricing experience preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong analytical and business analysis skills Ability to gather critical pricing information (eg, customer willingness to pay) through research, surveying and other means within the organization and quantify results for use in pricing analyses, guideline assessment and escalation protocol Capability to measure contract results vs. expectations and identify the key drivers of variance Ability to help create and recognize pilot/test opportunities and assess effectiveness on an ongoing basis Strong organizational and communication skills Talent for balancing multiple, complex, pricing analyses with tight deadlines and high-level strategic pricing discussions Willingness and ability to explain analysis and strategy recommendations to thorough questioning from management and across departments Ability to work effectively within and across Business units Demonstrates aptitude to quickly and correctly identify correct organizational units from which to gather information and data for analysis Ability to prioritize requests from different business units with internal group tasks and communicate expected delivery Ability to collaborate on projectsWorking Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands:
