This position is based On-Site at the Bangalore Shared Service Center.
What will you do
Key responsibilities include:
Accurately and timely apply payments received across multiple bank accounts to North America accounts receivable portfoliosProactively follow up on unidentified payments and unapplied cash, minimizing variances through communication with internal and external customersProcess AR adjustments and customer refunds per Limits of Authority (LOA)Process payment files according to due date schedules; communicate concerns and delays to customers/collectorsExecute month-end activities according to checklists and timelinesBuild and maintain updated process documentation reflecting dynamic process changesPrepare and analyze reports to monitor process health and drive corrective actions to clear variancesEnsure timely submission of SOX and Audit reports/supporting documentationQuickly escalate significant issues impacting application/adjustment processes, unapplied cash, and payment filesMaintain high satisfaction levels with internal and external customers via innovative solutions and improvement of key performance indicatorsLiaise frequently with accounting, collections, and other teams to strengthen collaborationPromote a culture of continuous process improvement through lean tools and standard workEnsure compliance with corporate/local credit policies and regulations, including trade compliance and Sarbanes OxleyWhat you will bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or FinanceMinimum of 2 years’ relevant experience, preferably in a multinational or global team environmentUnderstanding of commercial credit and collection practices; knowledge of various payment methods (wire transfer, cheque, promissory notes, direct debit)Experience working with Oracle ERP preferredProficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting toolsStrong grasp of accounting conceptsExperience with Rimilia or similar automated cash application software preferredExperience building teams and improving processes through lean tools preferredKey Competencies
