Job Description:

The position is for an analyst/associate in the Software Equity Research team. Experience in sell-side research or similar is preferred but not a requirement. 

The candidate should possess familiarity with financial statements and have a passion for following the stock market.

The candidate will work alongside Senior Analysts and Associates in all aspects of the research process, from idea generation to corporate and client communication, including but not limited to the following:

Write industry and company reports and company stock coverage initiationsBuild financial models including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements to provide a quantitative basis for analyzing stock valuationsDemonstrate industry knowledgeBuild relationships and facilitate information flow with contacts at covered companiesSeek out new, value-added and/or unusual sources of informationHave ability to monitor news flow, analyze data and highlight stock-impacting updates when Senior Analyst is travelingDevelop surveys and conduct interviews to understand new product/service potential, market dynamics, and current and future product/service demandInteract regularly with sales, trading and external clients

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience (advanced degree or industry is a plus but not required)Experience in equity research, buy side experience, investment banking or industry/consulting experience is preferredStrong writing and financial modeling skillsExcellent communications skills, written and verbalStrong attention to detail, ability to multi-task​
