Analyst, Investment Operations
**What You'll Do** With minimal guidance/supervisions, perform routine & intermediate recurring procedures, analysis and report preparation to support the lifecycle of investments in a global infrastructure. Identify and resolve problems following established guidelines; raise complex problems or issue to senior team members. Conduct special analyses and/or studies. Responsible for account reconciliation, reporting, transaction management, portfolio analysis and reporting, compliance, data and/or trade support activities. Support global investment initiatives through participation in projects, process reviews and/or system enhancements. + Under general direction, independently execute routine & intermediate transactions and resolve problems. Establish new securities, compliance rules, new accounts, and or new reports to ensure readiness for trading, reconciliation, settlement and/or the client reporting process. Identify and resolve issues associated with client data, trade breaks, reconciliation breaks, and/or compliance breaches. Prepare reports and maintain controls in alignment with internal policies and clients' needs. + Interface with internal and external personnel including senior operations staff, legal, relationship management, IT, banks, brokers, custodians, portfolio managers, and/or traders to obtain information and resolve problems. + Enhance understanding of Principal Global Investors' products, team procedures, and clients' needs through self-initiated research, participation in available training programs and involvement in on-going investment activities. + Perform other job related duties or special projects as required. **Who You Are** + Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in accounting, finance, economics or business required, plus a minimum of 0-2 years' work experience in investment/mutual fund operations or related field preferred + Knowledge of financial services and investment related terminology preferred + Good analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, time management and communication skills required + Must be detailed oriented + Success in this position requires a client service orientation, the ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven, team-based environment and the ability to produce accurate and timely information with limited supervision + Must be able to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively and be flexible as business needs change + This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check. **Salary Range Information** Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. **Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)** $27 - $35 / hour **Time Off Program** Personal Time Off (PTO) is provided to hourly (non-exempt) employees and provides a set amount of accrued time earned each pay period. Employees can use their PTO for vacation, personal or short-term illness. **Pension Eligible** No **Location** This role will be based out of our World Headquarters located in Des Moines, IA. **Work Environments** This role offers the ability for in-office or three days in-office and two days remote.
