Job Description

What is the opportunity? 

You will assist in the management and administration of authorized credit and transactional risk limits for various groups of fund relationships including mutual funds, pension funds, pooled funds, hedge funds, private capital, trusts, endowments and managed accounts. You will maintain relationships with RBC Capital Markets (CM) sales and trading professionals and counterparties to ensure client needs are met on a timely basis including addressing credit requirements as necessary. The role supports the development of transaction solutions (including structuring, amount and term) and provides assistance in the preparation of transaction requests, while safeguarding the credit quality of the trading credit portfolio, ensuring all limit systems are properly recording all approvals and help in the preparation of timely management information reports as required.

What will you do? 

Timely preparation of transaction requests in support of RBC CM credit intensive trading activities with global asset managers on behalf of the funds they manage.Understand and assess client investment strategies from a risk perspective.Maintenance and accuracy of trading limit data within CCMS.Reviews of trading counterparties (including mutual funds, pension funds, pooled funds, hedge funds, private capital, trusts, endowments and managed accounts).Compliance management including management of limit excesses, and supporting ATE triggers, and NAV monitoring where needed. Participate in KYC process as required.Assist in annual reviews for CM relationships.Assist in the collation of regulatory documents and confirmations as required.Completion of assigned projects and other duties in an efficient and effective manner that supports business initiatives.Maintain a strong understanding of RBFG trading policies and guidelines.Initiate and maintain contact with trading professionals, Group Risk Management (Credit Risk, Market Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk), Trading Documentation, Client Management Group, and RBC Law Group.

Must-have:

Honours, B.A. or B. Com or equivalentUnderstanding and knowledge of fund industry and securities regulations governing fundsFamiliarity and basic understanding of trading products including FX, swaps and securities financeKnowledgeable of the RBC global network and capabilities and understanding of and ability to interpret RBC credit processes and credit policiesUnderstanding of trading documentation including ISDA, GMSLA and GMRA.Advanced data and computer management skills including proficiency with Excel.Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to establish priorities and manage tasks with accompanying attention to detail.Ability to interpret, explain and communicate opinions and recommendations using strong verbal and written skills.Problem solving skills.

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$75,000.00 - $100,000.00
