Position Summary

Program Start Date: June 15, 2026 
Location: Hartford, CT 
Starting Salary: $65,000

Sponsorship: Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.  This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.

Hartford Hiring Initiative:  

This role is a part of the Aetna Business Operations Hartford Hiring Initiative and offers additional developmental opportunities. This may include leadership exposure, networking sessions, and Hartford-based events.  

This is a hybrid position with 3 days (generally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in the Hartford, CT office location. The other 2 days each week will be working remotely from home, office, or another location of your choice. 

The Analyst, Business Analytics:

Uses statistical analysis techniques and data visualization tools to explore and analyze the data.

Identifies trends, patterns, and relationships to extract meaningful insights.

Collects data from various sources, such as databases, spreadsheets, or internal systems, and ensures its quality and reliability.

Organizes and structures data in a way that enables effective analysis.

Presents complex data in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders, such as management, departments, or clients.

Provides actionable recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic decision-making and business planning.

Defines and tracks key performance indicators that align with business objectives.

Develops metrics and performance dashboards to monitor the performance of various business functions and processes.

Performs descriptive and exploratory analysis to understand the current state of the business and conduct predictive or prescriptive analysis to anticipate future outcomes or optimize business processes.

Collaborates with various teams and departments, such as claims, finance, or operations to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.

Works with stakeholders to gather requirements, addresses data-related questions, and develops solutions to business challenges.

Contributes to strategic planning sessions by providing analytical input and evaluating the potential impact of different strategies.

Leverages tools to present data in a way that is easy to understand and allows stakeholders to explore the data themselves.

Seeks opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills through professional development, training, and certifications.

Explores new data analysis techniques, statistical models, and tools to improve their analytical capabilities.

Required Qualifications

Meet educational requirements (see education section) and/or 0-2 of work experience

Able to work out of the Hartford, CT office

Basic awareness of problem solving and decision-making skills

Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and verbal and written communication skills

Data analysis and interpretation skills

Microsoft Office tools - Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint


Preferred Qualifications

Experience in healthcare and project-related initiatives

Knowledge of healthcare claims adjudication


Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred or a combination of work experience and education.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$43,888.00 - $93,574.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
