​The US AML TDI team is a forward-thinking group driving elegant innovation in anti-money laundering through advanced analytics, technology, and strategic transformation. We enhance the bank’s capabilities in transaction monitoring, customer risk rating, sanctions screening, and data governance. What You’ll Be Doing

Support the AML TDI Team to establish and leverage appropriate systems and processes to develop, validate, and understand data to be utilized for risk mitigationGather, consolidate, and normalize data within database systems for the purpose of ad-hoc and ongoing analysisConduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights and provide meaningful business insights in clear and concise resultsPerform analysis of banking data sets and have experience to understand how different banking products and services data is representedAble to articulate technical solutions and business workflows for new or enhanced business processes. This includes supporting the development of model, system, process or data documentation to support new and existing processesDevelop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support decision-making processes in conjunction with the businessAbility to utilize your strong  SQL, SAS/SAS Viya, Python and PowerBI skills to perform analyses of underlying data in our systems and address questions, and highlight trends, or identify issues. Develop reporting solutions, including design, code, view queries, and tablesStay updated with the latest trends and advancements in business intelligence and reporting best practices

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role.  You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

Who you are

You’re a seasoned professional with 3-7 years of technical experience, within the Financial Services Risk ManagementYou’re a data guru with 3-5+ years of experience working with data with the intent to provide insightsYou have technical expertise and have 3-5+ years hands-on of experience with commonly used Business Intelligence and data tools, i.e. Alteryx, SQL, SAS, Tableau, Power BI, Business Objects, or other similar toolsYou’re a self starter, with your experience with SQL Server and SAS (Viya), you’ll be able to jump into You have a degree/diploma in a mathematically or data discipline or equivalent experienceYou're fluent in English with proven strong communication skills, both written and oralYou embrace and advocate for change.  Experience in rapidly changing environments; ability to adapt to changing priorities and be able to concisely organize and present the impact of those changes to leadershipYou give meaning to data. Highly developed critical reasoning skills with a passion about the "why"You love to learn. Proven self-starter requiring little oversight

Desired Skills to Hit the Ground Running:

SAS Base Programmer and/or SAS Advanced Programmer CertifiedAble to demonstrate Advanced Excel Knowledge including XLOOKUP, Index-Match, Pivot Tables, PowerQuery, Python in Excel or SASAble to demonstrate 1-3+ years experience with FIS Core Banking DataACAMS Certified

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $105,000 - 120,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
