Aluminum Extrusion Press Operator (Nights)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Press Operator to set up and operate an extrusion press machine. The ideal candidate will follow drawings and purchase orders to determine the necessary tooling for each job. Responsibilities include loading tooling and dies, adjusting press dimensions to ensure high-quality extruded products, and performing quality checks on finished products.

Work Environment

Our manufacturing facility is loud, with a strong oil smell and burning metal fumes from the extrusion process. It can become hot inside during the summer months. Each shift consists of approximately 40 people, including forklift operators, saw operators, press operators, a shift supervisor, and a shift manager. The position requires working a 12-hour continental night shift from 5:55PM to 6:10 AM, following a schedule of alternating days on and off, with every other weekend required as per the work schedule. Candidates will receive 4 hours of overtime every two weeks. All training will be conducted during day shifts.

The pay range for this position is $23.46 - $23.46/hr.
