Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) Technician – Korea

Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and technical installation support on all types of ASE systems installed on U.S. Army aircraft in Korea. Issue and recover ASE equipment.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As an ASE Technician, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the Worldwide Field Support contract for the U.S. Army. You’ll play a crucial role in providing on-site technical and maintenance assistance, analyzing complex technical problems, and providing training to site operations and maintenance personnel.

● Troubleshoot all issues with Common Missile Warning System (CMWS AN/AAR-57), Advanced Threat Infrared Countermeasures (ATIRCM AN/ALQ-212), Radar Warning Receiver (RWR AN/APR-39) and Laser Detecting Set (LDS AN/AVR-2B).

● Provide technical support to ASE installation teams.

● Direct Exchange (DX) repair parts with supported units.

● Pack equipment, prepare shipping documents, maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments, consolidate shipping orders.

● Receive, track, control, and document Government Property in accordance with Government regulations and GDIT Asset Management policies, procedures, and processes.

● Provide No Evidence of Failure (NEOF) testing.

● Test ASE modules on the Hot Mock-Up (HMU) to verify functional status.

● Attend conference calls with the Program Management team.

● Develop equipment and status reports and provide daily and weekly maintenance reports.

● Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Bring your ASE expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The ASE Technician must have:

● Education: BA/BS plus 2 years’ experience, AA/AS/plus 4 years’ experience, or a High School diploma and 7 years’ experience

● Technical skills: Strong knowledge of Common Missile Warning System (CMWS AN/AAR-57), Advanced Threat Infrared Countermeasures (ATIRCM AN/ALQ-212), Radar Warning Receiver (RWR AN/APR-39) and Laser Detecting Set (LDS AN/AVR-2B). Extensive experience with avionics.

● Security Clearance: Secret

● Role requirements: US passport must not expire for at least 2 years, valid US driver’s license, and an international driver’s permit (AAA)
