We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will use engineering drawings to understand tasks and prepare aircraft surfaces for chemical and paint applications. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
ResponsibilitiesInterpret engineering drawings to identify tasks for preparing and painting aircraft surfaces.Apply safety absorbent to hangar floor and spray aircraft surfaces with stripper to remove all paint.Assist with moving aircraft to appropriate positions, unmask and re-mask areas to protect windows and other sensitive parts.Remove stripper, excess paint, and contaminants using water, solvents, air blowers, and brushes.Sand, grind, and polish aircraft surfaces, apply putty to body dents, and replace sealer in preparation for primer and paint application.Essential Skills5 years of painting experience, which can be a combination of aircraft and automotive painting.Proficiency in painting, aviation, paint preparation, spray gun operation, sanding, and repair.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with corporate jets.Why Work Here?Join a dynamic team where you can leverage your expertise in aircraft painting. Work EnvironmentWork at a facility in Wichita, KS, in a non-climate controlled environment where customers are present. The role involves working shifts from Monday to Friday, either from 6:42am to 3:12pm or from 3:12pm to 11:42pm. The dress code is casual, with jeans, a t-shirt, and tennis shoes being appropriate.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
