Aircraft Painter
**Job Title: Aircraft Painter** **Job Description** This position requires experienced Aircraft Painters with 3-5 years of experience working on Corporate aircraft at our site in Kinston, NC. Candidates with additional Business Jet experience are highly desired, and those with substantial Automotive painting experience will also be considered. **Responsibilities** + Perform various process activities such as painting, metal etching, metal polishing, heat treating, engraving, shot peening, sand blasting, wire assembling/fabrication, and metal processing to support production requirements. + Execute spray and brush priming. + Conduct hand finishing operations including blending multiple adjacent MDD surfaces into engineering tolerances and performing transition work to align detail parts with engineering specifications. + Ensure masking is complete. + Sand primer if necessary. + Blow aircraft and clean with thinner. + Wash paint booth. + Apply topcoat in three coats. + Layout stripe scheme and mask for trim colors. + Prep and scuff paint for trim application. + Re-mask and detail aircraft. + Inspect completed paint or strip/sand job. + Mix paint. + Perform other job-related duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 3-5 years experience in Aircraft Painting. + Proficiency in paint preparation and spray painting techniques. + Experience with paint booths and spray guns. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Possession of personal tools such as sander and blower. + Automotive painting experience is acceptable. + Open to all shifts and must undergo an interview process for Direct Hire consideration. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kinston, North Carolina. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
