Job Title: Aircraft Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanic to join our team at a Class IV 14 CFR Part 145 certified repair station. Our facility specializes in aircraft maintenance, covering everything from narrow to wide body, small to large, regional to long-haul aircraft. Join us in maintaining one of the largest storage and reclamation operations in the world.

Responsibilities

Research technical data and perform disassembly, repair, cleaning, adjustment, assembly, testing, and calibration of aircraft components using company tools and ground equipment.Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures such as wings, fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, plumbing, and hydraulic units.Read and interpret manufacturers' and airlines’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.Complete identification, inspections, routing tags, and forms for removed units and make entries into the Component Removal Log.Disassemble and inspect aircraft and engine parts for wear or other defects.Repair or replace defective engine parts, reassemble, and install engines in aircraft.Adjust, repair, or replace electrical wiring systems and aircraft accessories.Perform miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including cleaning, servicing, greasing, moving parts, and checking brakes.

Essential Skills

Experience with commercial aircraft larger than a CRJ 900, Boeing and Airbus preferred.A&P license is preferred.1-5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience.Current valid driver’s license.Airframe certification is required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Basic set of tools required.Familiarity with heavy maintenance and line maintenance.Experience with aircraft maintenance repair and MRO operations.

Work Environment

The work environment involves physical demands such as sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods, frequent bending, stooping, and reaching above shoulder level. Occasionally, employees may need to crawl, climb, or lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. The role requires eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, and corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Employees will operate aircraft ground servicing equipment and hand tools, and work within an aircraft maintenance hangar with exposure to high noise levels, temperature changes, and materials identified on Safety Data Sheets. Protective equipment such as goggles, safety glasses, face shields, ear protection, aprons, gloves, and safety harnesses is required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marana, Arizona.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $42.00/hr.
