Aircraft Inspector III

You will also assist in training junior inspectors. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber. **Responsibilities:** + Perform complex aircraft inspections and audits. + Plan and prepare for comprehensive inspections. + Maintain detailed and accurate inspection documentation. + Address significant non-conformities. + Train and mentor junior inspectors. + Ensure timely completion of inspection schedules. **Qualifications You Must Have:** + High school diploma or equivalent. + 3+ years of relevant experience. + Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience. + Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification. + Thorough knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment and parts. + Understanding and experience with the practical application of product audit and inspection processes and procedures. + Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel). + Thoroughly familiar with the inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine the airworthiness of aviation products after maintenance. **Qualifications We Prefer:** + Basic understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1. + Understanding of civil or government aviation inspection operations and/or FAA Repair Station operations. + Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation. + Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
