AI Research Analyst Intern

As an AI Research Analyst intern, you will support the Global AI team by scanning, analyzing, and synthesizing emerging AI trends, vendor developments, and market dynamics from external sources. You will produce actionable, forward-looking intelligence deliverables, including but not limited to written briefs, presentations, and newsletter contributions, that help technical and business leaders anticipate change, prioritize investments, adopt relevant trends that help accelerate execution, and make informed decisions. 

Key Responsibilities

Research & Monitoring 

Conduct daily scans of industry publications, research papers, vendor announcements, regulatory updates, and competitive signals related to AI/MLTrack advancements in AI techniques and methods, as well as developments across major AI vendors (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft), industry competitors, and relevant regulatory bodiesIdentify emerging trends and signals that may impact organizational AI strategy or operationsMaintain organized source libraries, tracking logs, and citation databases

Analysis & Synthesis 

Perform technical deep dives on prioritized topics using primary and secondary researchDistill complex technical concepts into clear, digestible, business-relevant summariesDevelop forward-looking analyses that are prescriptive, not merely descriptiveAssess relevance and potential organizational impact of developments and trendsFlag high-priority items for escalation and strategic discussion with Global AI Leadership

Deliverables & Communication 

Draft briefings structured that clearly articulate the trend/advancement, why it matters, and organizational implications Contribute to recurring internal thought leadership/communications, newsletters, and presentations Participate in peer review and quality control processes for team outputsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related fieldStrong understanding of AI/ML concepts (e.g., LLMs, neural networks, agentic systems, foundation models)Strong ability to synthesize complex topics; demonstrated ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiencesAnalytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracyStrong written communication skills (written and verbal)Intellectual curiosity and genuine enthusiasm for AI and emerging technology

Preferred

Familiarity with major AI vendor landscape (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft, AWS, etc.)Experience reading and summarizing technical papers, whitepapers, or analyst reportsExposure to research tools, databases, or intelligence platformsInterest in enterprise AI applications or regulated industries (e.g., insurance, financial services)

 

The pay range for the role is $20/hr. - $24/hr. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
