What the day will look like Design end-to-end system architectures and propose appropriate technology stacks for AI/ML solutions. Contribute to and execute on the technology roadmap in partnership with the technical leadership team. Propose and drive proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives to modernize and enhance existing applications and platforms. Clearly articulate and document the pros and cons of design decisions, with particular focus on scalability, performance, reliability, and cost. Collaborate closely with data scientists, data engineers, analysts, software developers, and business stakeholders to design and deliver high-performing, production-grade AI/ML and web applications. Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, and support for existing applications and ML workloads as needed. Skills and experience that will lead to success Proven experience explaining proposed solutions using solution architecture diagrams that clearly show component interactions and data flows. Hands-on experience in ML engineering and end-to-end AI solution design, from data ingestion and feature engineering through to model deployment, monitoring, and operations. Strong familiarity with DevOps/MLOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and model lifecycle management (e.g., testing, lineage tracking, versioning, monitoring and alerting). Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL for data wrangling, transformation, and analysis. Deep interest and experience in designing for scalability, performance, and resilience; familiarity with traditional (e.g., layered, SOA) and modern (e.g., microservices, event-driven, cloud-native) system architecture patterns. Knowledge of GenAI solution patterns, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), model evaluation, and LLMOps. Strong understanding of relational databases and data warehouses, including query optimization and data modeling fundamentals. Working experience in agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban), including participation in ceremonies and iterative delivery.
