We are seeking an AI/ML Engineer to support advanced analytics, automation, and machine learning initiatives for mission-critical systems used by a global customer base. The successful candidate will work with MedDRA MSSO (Maintenance and Support Services Organization) and other innovation programs, applying artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to enhance data-driven decision-making in healthcare, defense, and regulatory environments. This role involves leveraging AI/ML to optimize processes, improve automation, and deliver intelligent solutions for stakeholders.
ResponsibilitiesLearn and understand MSSO’s business processes and identify opportunities for AI/ML integration.Design, develop, test, and deploy machine learning models and AI-driven applications.Implement data pipelines for preprocessing, feature engineering, and model training.Apply deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), and predictive analytics to healthcare and regulatory datasets.Integrate AI/ML models into production systems, ensuring scalability and reliability.Perform model evaluation, validation, and continuous improvement.Document methodologies, maintain reproducibility, and ensure compliance with industry standards.Collaborate across engineering, data, and operations teams to deploy secure, efficient solutions.Support broader software, data science, and automation initiatives.Essential SkillsStrong Python skills and experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.Experience building ML pipelines and deploying them as scalable APIs using FastAPI, Docker, and Azure Container Apps.Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases.Strong experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MSSQL, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization.Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and containerized/serverless deployments.Understanding of identity and access management and secure system integration.Strong Linux, DevOps, and CI/CD experience, including server management, environment configuration, and troubleshooting for ML deployments.Experience consuming OpenAPI-generated clients to ensure consistent communication between frontend and backend services.Ability to communicate clearly and accurately in both oral and written forms.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of experience in AI/ML development; OR 8+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.Minimum 3+ years of experience in machine learning, deep learning, or AI application development.Knowledge of NLP, computer vision, or time series modeling.Familiarity with frontend collaboration and client-driven architectures.Experience designing or implementing process automations (e.g., RPA) to streamline repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.Experience with reinforcement learning, big data tools, or MLOps.Experience applying AI/ML in healthcare or regulatory domains.Work EnvironmentThe work environment includes collaboration with various engineering, data, and operations teams. You will work with state-of-the-art technologies and tools, such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, FastAPI, Docker, and cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, and GCP. The role requires a strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. The position is suitable for individuals with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation and technology advancement.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70.00 - $100.00/hr.
