The Asia Pacific Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) advances the firm’s data and analytics strategy, platforms, solutions, capabilities, and governance to deliver trustworthy, responsible, innovative, and commercially valuable outcomes across the APAC markets and businesses.
As Vice President, AI/ML Capabilities, APAC, the individual plays a key role in building, enhancing, and scaling AI/ML platforms and tools across the region. The Vice President collaborates with business, technology, and global teams to deliver robust, reusable, and compliant AI/ML capabilities that drive business value. The Vice President helps shape the technical roadmap, supports the adoption of best practices, and fosters a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with business and technology teams to identify opportunities for new or enhanced AI/ML capabilities. Support the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI/ML platforms, tools, and frameworks. Help ensure AI/ML solutions are robust, reusable, and aligned with enterprise architecture and governance standards. Contribute to the technical roadmap, project plans, and success metrics for AI/ML capability initiatives. Promote the adoption of best practices in AI/ML development, testing, and deployment. Facilitate knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team and across functions. Stay informed on emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes in the AI/ML space. Support stakeholder engagement by preparing materials and communicating progress to senior leaders. Help ensure compliance with data management, governance, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. Formal training or certification in AI/ML, with at least 8 years of experience in data science, technology, or platform development within financial services. Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, frameworks, and tools. Experience supporting the delivery and scaling of AI/ML platforms and solutions. Technical knowledge to communicate effectively with engineering teams and understand implementation requirements. Experience working in cross-functional, regional teams. Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills. Understanding of APAC regulatory landscape and cultural diversity.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Experience building or customizing AI/ML platforms and workflows. Familiarity with ethical AI/ML practices and governance frameworks. Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in APAC. Prior experience working with globally distributed technical teams.
