The AI Innovation Leader for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for driving the application of advanced AI/ML technologies, developing and executing the AI strategy, and increasing AI maturity across systems and software development teams. This position reports to the SVP CTO and is part of the Global Technology Organization leadership team and will be remote. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Lead the strategic development and integration of AI/ML solutions into product development, including the Danaher AI Playbook and roadmap, to drive AI maturity and operationalization. + Champion, sustain, and actively lead AI-driven process improvements, Kaizens, and daily management reviews to increase quality, accelerate development, and improve efficiency in IVD systems development. + Diagnose workflow impediments and wastes, providing expert counsel on appropriate AI and DBS tools. + Provide and facilitate formal and informal AI/ML training and coaching, promoting broader associate development including pursuing and approving certifications. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and quality management in AI-enabled products. The essential requirements of the job include: + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field with 20+ years of experience in Product Development, with significant experience in AI/ML; OR a Master’s/Doctoral degree with 18+ years of relevant experience. + Mastery of a variety of AI/ML tools utilized in the product development process. + Ability to design, develop, and implement an AI roadmap for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics. + Superior communication, training, consulting, and influencing skills. + Demonstrated strong writing, administrative, and computer skills, coupled with proven proficiency in time and project management. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + Medical device product development. + Regulated Quality Management System – e.g., FDA CFR 820, EU ISO-13485. + Cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS) and traditional ML/DL frameworks (scikit-learn, OpenCV, PyTorch, TensorFlow). + Deep learning architectures (CNN, LSTM, Transformers). + Data governance, privacy, and compliance in healthcare AI. The annual salary range for this role is $230K-290K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
